我們實驗室的主要研究興趣在於將訊號與影像處理的理論應用在醫學影像處理與分析上,找出有效的影像生物標誌,以幫助解決臨床診療相關問題。從2008年起,我們與長庚醫院核醫科與腦神經內科研究團隊,在類澱粉蛋白與VMAT2影像於腦神經退化疾病的相關研究,已經有很好的經驗與成果。為了增加臨床診斷功能,我們積極與國外研究團隊合作,陸續取得日本東北大學所研發的THK5351 tau蛋白影像藥物,及最近取得第二代的tau蛋白影像藥物(18F-PMPBB3),也正應用於臨床試驗中。

本實驗室所處理的腦神經核子醫學分子影像,可應用的疾病診斷包括失智症、阿茲海默症、老年憂鬱症、中風、睡眠障礙疾病、帕金森氏症,動作障礙相關,及其他腦神經退化疾病。本實驗室在神經退化影像的研究成果,主要是發展腦神經退化疾病的影像診斷生物標誌,提供早期診斷,及治療評估。此外,本團隊也積極研究使用人工智慧技術,針對腦神經退化疾病的精準診斷,提出有效的AI診斷模式,將對台灣目前擬推動的精準醫療提供有利的後援。

Our research interests are mainly in applying the knowledge of signal and image processing to the problem of medical imaging, and developing effective biomarkers for disease diagnosis, early diagnosis, therapy monitoring and progression prediction.

 

Our medical imaging team mainly focuses on the molecular imaging for neurodegeneration diseases, especially various PET (positron emission tomography) tracers, including amyloid, tau, VAMT2, and dopamine transporters.

 

Our on-going research includes developing biomarkers for early detection of neurodegenerative diseases using PET tracers for amyloid, tau, and VMAT2, deriving brain connectivity network using PET imaging, imaging process for PET imaging, as well as applying artificial intelligence (AI) methods for developing biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases.
