本實驗室的主要研究方向是將訊號處理與影像處理的理論應用於醫學影像分析,旨在發現有效的影像生物標誌,以協助解決臨床診療中的各類問題。自2008年以來,我們與長庚醫院核醫科及腦神經內科的研究團隊合作,深入探討類澱粉蛋白與VMAT2影像在腦神經退化疾病中的應用,並取得了豐碩的研究成果。為了進一步提升臨床診斷能力,我們積極與國際研究團隊合作,之前成功取得由日本東北大學研發的THK5351 tau蛋白影像藥物,並近期取得第二代tau蛋白影像藥物(18F-PMPBB3),目前正應用於臨床試驗中。
本實驗室專注於腦神經核子醫學分子影像技術,應用於多種腦部疾病的診斷,包括失智症、阿茲海默症、老年憂鬱症、中風、睡眠障礙、帕金森氏症、動作障礙相關疾病等。針對神經退化影像的研究,我們主要致力於發展腦神經退化疾病的影像診斷生物標誌,以促進早期診斷與治療效果評估。此外,本團隊也積極探索人工智慧技術在腦神經退化疾病精準診斷中的應用,並提出有效的AI診斷模式,這將為台灣在推動精準醫療方面提供有力的技術支持。
Our laboratory focuses on applying signal processing and image processing theories to medical imaging analysis, with the goal of identifying effective imaging biomarkers to address various challenges in clinical diagnosis and treatment. Since 2008, we have collaborated with the Nuclear Medicine and Neurology departments of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital to investigate the use of amyloid and VMAT2 imaging in neurodegenerative diseases, achieving substantial research outcomes.
To further enhance clinical diagnostic capabilities, we actively collaborate with international research teams. We have successfully obtained THK5351, a tau protein imaging tracer developed by Tohoku University in Japan, as well as the second-generation tau imaging tracer, 18F-PMPBB3, which is currently being applied in ongoing clinical trials.
Our laboratory specializes in molecular neuroimaging using nuclear medicine techniques, which can be applied to diagnose a wide range of neurological conditions, including dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, late-life depression, stroke, sleep disorders, Parkinson’s disease, movement disorders, and other neurodegenerative diseases. In our neurodegeneration imaging research, we focus on developing imaging biomarkers for early detection and treatment assessment of neurodegenerative disorders.
In addition, our team is actively exploring the application of artificial intelligence technologies to achieve precision diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. We aim to develop effective AI-based diagnostic models that can provide strong technological support for Taiwan’s ongoing efforts in advancing precision medicine.
